English Version The municipality of Nekla is located in the Wielkopolskie Lake District. In 2000, Nekla was returned its city rights at the request of its residents.
The assets of the municipality include its location near international communication routes as well as its proximity to Poznań, the capital of Wielkopolska. The A-2 motorway runs through the southern part of the municipality. The nearest motorway hub is in Września, 12 km east of Nekla.In 2012, the S-5 expressway hub will be completed 13 kilometres west of the municipality, connecting it with the A-2 motorway and the national road 92.
Services and industry have been developing along the main communicationroutes (the Poznań-Warsaw national road) together with tourist and residential activities in the northern, forested part. Attractive areas of land for single-family housing have been a magnet for new residents.
Future investors can choose from areas designated for economic activationalong the national road 92 in the towns of Nekla, Starczanowo, Gierłatowo and Zasutowo as well as along the Berlin-Moscow railway. The total area is over 150 ha. It is property of the Municipality of Nekla as well as private owners. Many of those areas are included in local zoning plans. A well-developed technical infrastructure has been an additional incentive for businesses. All the towns in the municipality are connected to water supply networks, and the town of Nekla has sewage and gas networks as well as a modern sewage treatment plant.
The municipality is also home to developing manufacturing plants, of which the largest is Matex in Starczanowo, which employs about 800 people. Stomil, a company with German capital, chose to operate from Nekla.
The municipality designates about 20% of its annualbudget for investment spending. Tasks relating to sanitary sewage, storm sewage, road construction, water supply network and sports facilities are carried out. The municipality offers its assistance and involvementin dealing with all the formalities relating to the location and the subsequent operation of investments.
